Lost in Golden State’s Chris Webber-to-Tom Gugliotta-to-Donyell Marshall-to-Danny Fortson-and-Adam Keefe whiff was the person Webber replaced on the Warriors: Tyrone Hill, a forward/center who made an NBA All-Star team before Webber (with Washington, 1997) or Gugliotta (Minnesota, 1997) or Keefe.

Tyrone was Golden State’s lottery pick in 1990 and a Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star in 1995. Between was Warriors GM/coach Don Nelson, who saw Hill-to-Webber as the superstar upgrade his star-laden Warriors (Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin, Latrell Sprewell) required.
