The Clippers were only 3-7 following James Harden’s fifth game with the team, Ty Lue’s group needed to bring it all the way back, and soon, and did! Four old superstars working together flies in December, the Clippers are 16-10 after Monday’s 151-127 win in Indiana.
We wouldn’t want these Clippers to be anyone but Clippers. It is good for the NBA these four famous greybeards band together through snow and ice and whatever else each California Clipper (now there’s a bar I miss) woke up to Monday morning in Indianapolis. We don’t need these stars heading up various Houstons or Charlottes or New Yorks or dumped on Detroit, each are in the right spot, together. This is only fun because it is these four stars.
On Sunday I saw a Clipper on someone’s phone screen — I know, I was surprised too — my daughter’s boyfriend, massive NBA fan. I didn’t see which star was on his phone but it didn’t matter, all the stars are on the Clippers and I knew what we had to do. Get in the hatchback, we’re going to see the Clippers.
