The Bucks worked up exceptional basketball without Antetokounmpo before. Milwaukee knows how to win important contests against great opponents while missing Milwaukee’s best player, and the Bucks had no excuse for abandoning principles in Game 3. Oddly, the Bucks played as if Antetokounmpo was around to save their butts, lunging defensively, declining to treasure offensive possessions.
“We’ll see how he feels from this session today and see how he wakes up tomorrow,” Mike Budenholzer said after the team held a film session Sunday afternoon.
