Dallas excelled defensively late in the season, every Achilles has its heels but the Mavericks showcased fewer and fewer angles for arching arrows as February turned to spring. Yet Boston made the Mavs, the appropriate representative from the NBA’s always-great Western conference, look as feeble as that giant foot ABC used to explain Kristaps Porziņģis’ injury.
